18 Απρ 2005 · From reading all the posts on the "sludge" issue causing premature engine failure on the 2.7, it appears to me that this was fixed starting in model year 2001. I don't see the problem on 2001 and up? Am I correct, or are there the same failures on the 2001-2005 2.7 engines?
6 Οκτ 2003 · Severity of engine problems due to this manufacturing defect depend on oil change schedules and oil filter change schedules. Severity could run from a severe knocking at certain engine RPMs, to jumped valve timing, to a complete and catastrophic engine seizure.
18 Απρ 2022 · Engine needs to be running for at least 60 seconds and transmission in park. Cycle through the shifter positions and back to Park. Check the transmission dipstick after cleaning and reinserting it.
7 Αυγ 2017 · There's a TC clutch switch valve (disengages the converter clutch), the TC clutch control valve (allowing pressure to be applied to the clutch), and a TC regulator valve (regulates the flow of fluid to the torque converter).

If you are having problems with the transmission in your Charger, such as clunky shifting or hesitation, check the transmission fluid level first - it is amazing how many drivers pay thousands of dollars for transmission work when a half quart of transmission fluid would have fixed the problem.
