Each licensee who applies for Florida licensure from a state or jurisdiction that has a current mutual recognition agreement with Florida must pass a written Florida-specific real estate law examination. The exam consists of 40 questions of 1 point in value per question.
How to File a Complaint. The Department of Business and Professional Regulation investigates and administratively prosecutes Florida appraisal or real estate licensees who conduct business in violation of state license law.
The Florida Real Estate Commission has the duty to advance the education of licensees in ethics, law, and brokerage practices. The FREC governs the conduct of licensees, and has the power to investigate and discipline licensees who violate the law.
