The 2.4L Tigershark (Jeep ED6) is a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder NA gasoline engine that debuted in the 2013 Dodge Dart. The Tigershark/MultiAir II engine series was developed by Chrysler and Fiat engineers in partnership.
The Chrysler 1.8, 2.0, and 2.4 are inline-4 engines designed originally for the Dodge and Plymouth Neon compact car. These engines were loosely based on their predecessors, the Chrysler 2.2 & 2.5 engine, sharing the same 87.5 mm (3.44 in) bore.
13 Ιαν 2012 · I'm looking at an SE with the 2.4L and was wondering how well the engine holds up. I've driven a 3.6L and it was nice, but puts me in a different price point. I can get what I want (not much) in the base model. It'll be basically a commuter.
16 Νοε 2020 · The Chrysler-engineered 2.4 liter four-cylinder entered production in December 1994 for minivans and cloud cars, essentially a long-stroke 2.0-liter Neon engine. While the Neon engine was criticized for being loud and somewhat uncouth, the 2.4 seemed to be quieter and gentler, and gained many fans.
