SI Prefix symbols are featured in the chart and used to represent smaller or larger units by factors that are powers of 10.
The SI prefixes are metric prefixes that were standardised for use in the International System of Units (SI) by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) in resolutions dating from 1960 to 2022.

The SI prefixes consist of a set of names and symbols that can be prepended to any SI unit’s name or symbol to modify its value. All SI prefixes have values that are multiples or submultiples of powers of 10. When prepended to a unit, the value of the unit is multiplied by the value of the prefix.
