   8 Μαρ 2007 · I would replace the timing chain set, water pump and oil pickup tube every 40,000 miles. This comes from experience. I have seen a 2.7 with 190,000 on it, and still running strong--never blew.

IF flash is the culprit then it will be found in the oil passages.
