The problem is that it means that you need to stop and charge fairly often (due to the short range) and charging takes over an hour, vs 15 minutes for any other modern EV on a high speed charger - that’s got to be irritating to renters who don’t know anything about EVs.

I noticed that care rental companies have a lot of EVs available at Heathrow. What are the pluses and minuses of renting an EV in the UK. Will I have trouble reserving a spot to recharge the vehicle? Do U.S. credits cards work at electric charging stations? How about at petrol stations? Thanks
