I had a similar problem on Monday. Tried multiple phones, multiple computers and multiple browsers. Had to check in at the airport. I got the ‘dreaded’ SSSS TSA code and with that, you must checkin at the airline’s desk. My security check was a breeze.
You can use the Lufthansa online check-in for the following flights: Lufthansa flights worldwide. Austrian Airlines flights between Germany and Austria. LOT Polish Airlines flights departing from Germany (except HAM and STR) Croatia Airlines flights departing from Germany.
