We traveled to St Martin in the Caribbean and They Charge Exhorbent Baggage Fees AT Check-in.. They charged us $50 each for my husband and myself for a wheeling backpack Carry On and $45 each for Checked Baggage.

We are flying Spirit Air for the first time next week, going from DCA-FLL-CUN. Two questions: 1. Can international passengers check in online? 2. Are baggage fees charged for each leg of the trip? For example, will we pay the fee for DCA-FLL and then another fee for FLL-CUN? I looked at the website and it was vague about connecting flights. Thanks!
