Current bag prices are available here. One personal item that fits in the smaller sizer box (like a small backpack) is included with your ticket. Another personal item or anything larger like a standard carry-on or checked bag will need to be paid for. PRO TIP: Purchasing a carry-on or a checked bag at the time of booking is the most economical.
Checking in online at Spirit.com is free, and it's the quickest way to check in for your flight and print your boarding pass. Check-in begins 24 hours before departure and ends an hour prior to departure. This is also a good time to buy a seat assignment or last minute bags – it will be less expensive online than at the airport.
25 Ιαν 2024 · Spirit Airlines allows one free personal item but charges different baggage fees for carry-on luggage and checked luggage based on: 1) when you pay for your luggage; 2) your flight route; and 3) your Saver$ Club membership (formerly known as $9 Fare Club).
If you are accessing your reservation less than 24 hours prior to departure, simply go to the Online Check-in tab and follow the instructions to access your reservation. You can then click the "Add Bags" link to purchase additional bags. Remember to purchase your bags in advance to save more!

If you check in online and purchase your bags in advance (that weigh 50 lbs. or less), you are eligible for our Bag Drop service at the airport. PRO TIP: If you are traveling internationally, you'll be required to enter your passport information before buying any bags or seats and printing your boarding pass.
