Spirit is fine and the big seat (i think that's what it's called) is about the same as business class on most 737's. If you're trying so save money, compare all the costs. If you're trying to compare comfort then compare planes.
As someone who frequently flies Spirit, Allegiant (the shit airlines) I would hate with a passion working for those places. They bring in the worst of the worst travelers.
