10 Απρ 2024 · Southwest Airlines is the only domestic airline where every passenger — regardless of status, fare class or even the credit cards in their wallet — can check two bags for free. Additionally, all passengers can bring a carry-on and a personal bag on board for no additional charge.

Each and every customer is allowed two free checked bags on all Southwest flights. That stands out, considering U.S. airlines have turned baggage fees into a cash cow, raking in almost $6 billion in 2019 alone.
Southwest will accept the first two checked bags for free provided that the bags do not exceed 50 lbs and 62 inches (L+W+H). Overweight items from 51-70 pounds will cost $100. Overweight items 71-100 pounds will cost $125.
