The Airport/Facility Directory (abbreviated A/FD ), now identified as Chart Supplement in the U.S., is a pilot's manual that provides comprehensive information on airports, large and small, and other aviation facilities and procedures.
This directory contains all public–use airports, seaplane bases and heliports, military facilities, and selected private use facilities specifically requested by the Department of Defense (DoD) for which a DoD Instrument Approach Procedure has been published in the U.S. Terminal Procedures Publication.
Chart Supplements or Airport/Facility Directory (AF/D) are a pilot's manual which contains data on public use and joint use airports, seaplane bases, heliports, VFR airport sketches, NAVAIDs, communications data, weather data sources, airspace, special notices, and operational procedures.
