20 Φεβ 2024 · We calculate the size limits of your bag by adding the total outside dimensions of each bag, length + width + height. For all regions, except to / from Australia or New Zealand, your checked bag allowance is: Dimension: 62 in / 158 cm; Weight: 50 lbs / 23 kgs
Charges are calculated based on standard bag sizes for flights, per person, each way. You can pay for bags online ahead of time when traveling on eligible American Airlines marketed and operated flights.

Our low fares include one small cabin bag free of charge. Your bag can weigh up to 15kg, but we do ask that you’re able to lift and carry it yourself. Fees vary depending on the route selected, flight and time of booking. More information on our baggage policy >
Each customer including children and infants can buy up to three hold bags. A standard hold bag is 23kg. You can buy extra weight in 3kgs units, up to a maximum of 32kg per bag. If you’re travelling with family or friends on the same flight and booking, you can pool your total weight allowance.
