Located off Interstate 30 is the Audie Murphy American Cotton Museum. For over 20 years, the museum has explored the rich and fascinating history of the region taking guests on a journey of discovery from the heyday of the cotton fields of the 1880's to the battlefields of the 20th Century.
The Audie Murphy American Cotton Museum is located at 600 Interstate 30 East, in the city of Greenville, county of Hunt, in the U.S. state of Texas. It was established in 1987. Cotton was Hunt County's largest cash crop in the early 20th century, and the museum features a "History of Cotton" exhibit.
The Audie Murphy American Cotton Museum takes visitors on a look back though Greenville and Hunt County's colorful history. Major Exhibits include The Hall of Heroes, Cotton Exhibit, Hunt County Gallery, Ende-Gillard House, and the Hunt County War Memorial.

This excellent small museum contains lots of information on Audie Murphy and on the times in which he lived. The video and other displays were informative and well done. The museum covered his entire life, including the hardships of his childhood, his heroism in WWII and his movie career.
