When reading the Bible, Tanakh (Hebrew Scriptures / Old Testament) or Brit Chadashah (New Testament), always refer to the Hebrew Calendar for dates, and use the relative hour, also known as the Halachic hour, for times.

According to St. Mark, Jesus went to the cross at the third hour, which in Jewish time corresponds to our 9AM [Mark 15:25]. The Hebrew word for the third hour of prayer is "Ma'ariv" "Ma'ariv" or evening prayer began at sundown [hours of prayer see Mishnah Berakhot ].
Notice that according to St. Mark, Jesus went to the cross at the third hour, which in Jewish time corresponds to our 9AM [Mark 15:25], and according to the Gospel accounts He gave up His life at the ninth hour, our 3PM. The Jewish day began at sundown.
16 Αυγ 2022 · When the Bible mentions a specific hour of the day, it is almost always using Jewish time (John’s gospel may have some exceptions), therefore: The 3rd hour of the day (about 3 hours after sunrise) = roughly 9:00am our time.
It was "the third hour of the day" (Acts 2:15), or about the time of the morning sacrifice, that the disciples prayed and received the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. Jesus was crucified at "the third hour" (Mark 15 :25), which was around nine o'clock in the morning.
