The University of Bremen faculties are able to award doctoral and research scholarships. Administrative Unit 12 advises on general questions and draws up the notification of approval.
For the stay in the host country, partial scholarships are awarded for a maximum of 3 months per study period (BA/MA). Travel expenses are not covered. In addition to the regular three months per study period, a short-term measure can be supported, i.e. a language course or specialized course.
For at-risk researchers the University of Bremen offers two different scholarship possibilities: On one hand the AvH scholarship of the Philipp Schwartz Initiative and on the other hand, since 2019, a scholarship provided hy the federal state of Bremen.
