Faro Los Morrillos de Cabo Rojo, also known as Los Morrillos Light, is a historic lighthouse located in Los Morrillos cape (officially Cabo Rojo, Spanish for "red cape") in the municipality of Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.
The Cabo Rojo Lighthouse is a must-see spot in Puerto Rico. The cliffside view is beautiful and unique. Between January and March, lucky visitors can even spot dolphins and whales!

7 Απρ 2024 · Faro Los Morrillos was the second lighthouse built by the Spanish in Puerto Rico, construction began in 1887 and was completed in 1882. The lantern room was constructed out of cast iron, copper, and glass.
The lighthouse, located next to one of the Cabo Rojo’s more popular seaside destinations, La Playuela Beach, offers spectacular ocean views, comfortable hilltop hiking, access to local nature, a natural stone bridge (Puente de Piedra) and surrounding saltwater lagoons and marshes. Be prepared to take lots of pictures.
The Cabo Rojo lighthouse is a true gem of the western part of Puerto Rico. It has been restored to its old beauty and now you can walk in for a small $2.00 fee and get to see some historical pictures of the Salt Pools plus walk up to the 2nd floor and admire the breathtaking view of the Caribbean Sea in all its glory.
