NEW YORK – The new Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, is a delightful family-friendly movie for any age. Its Christian undertones inspire faith and color the film with greater depth.
Though some things have been deleted from the book and other things have been added, the movie retains most of its Christian focus. The resurrection of Aslan breaks the power of the White Witch over Narnia.
While not overt, the movie includes Christian imagery (a martyred, Christlike lion, a rebirth from magic water) and allegorical storylines. The children overcome their fears by learning the power of teamwork and bravery.
