As an EarlyBird Check-In Customer, you'll have the benefit of an earlier boarding position, a better opportunity to select your preferred available seat, and earlier access to overhead bin storage for your carryon luggage.
10 minutes prior to scheduled departure time: All passengers must obtain their boarding passes and be in the gate area available for boarding at least 10 minutes prior to your flight's scheduled departure time.
If you purchased EarlyBird Check-In®, your boarding position will be reserved for you. That said, in order to pass through the security checkpoint, you will need to retrieve your boarding pass online or at the airport at your convenience as early as 24 hours prior to scheduled departure.

29 Μαΐ 2024 · EarlyBird Check-In gives travelers automatic check-in before the regular Southwest check-in opens 24 hours before flight departure — depending on availability. You'll get a better boarding position, which ensures a better chance of choosing the seat and overhead bin space you desire.
Customers with eligible reservations may check in online at www.southwest.com or using the Southwest® app available here. Once you have checked in for your flight, you can print your boarding pass online, download via the Southwest app, or choose to receive a text.
