13 Μαΐ 2020 · COLUMBUS, OHIO – Ohioans can now apply for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA), a new federal program that covers many more categories of workers than the traditional unemployment program, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) announced today.

27 Αυγ 2021 · Pandemic unemployment benefit programs end Sept. 4. Federal stimulus legislation that created Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) and Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) benefits expires across the nation in early September.
To apply online, go to unemployment.ohio.gov and follow the steps listed below. If you don’t have access to a computer, you can apply by calling 1-877-644-6562. Call center hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Note that it is not possible to apply for unemployment benefits in person.

COLUMBUS, OHIO –The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) recently issued guidance expanding eligibility for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA). PUA supports self-employed individuals, independent contractors, and others who don’t qualify for traditional unemployment benefits.
