my experience was pretty good actually, I had to cancel and rebook and they helped me really well this past february (Miami - flight, hotel and car)... I looked at for me that was the cheapest deal
They offer “package rates” (usually 20% cheaper) but must be booked in conjunction with other arrangements, such as flights, or a rental car. Similarly, some airlines also offer “package rates” on their airfares, but must be booked with accommodation or a cruise.
I booked a car rental with Expedia. When I arrived at the Kiosk, they told me they had given away my car and didn't have a replacement. I asked for a refund of the $352 I had paid and was told to talk to Expedia.

I've been looking into buying a roundtrip flight to Europe from the US using expedia, and it seems like if I add a car rental the overall price is actually significantly CHEAPER than without the car rental. Is this common? And what is stopping me from adding the car rental to my reservation and then just never picking up the car?
