30 Σεπ 2013 · In the penultimate grand prix at Mosport, Francois had a huge accident, following a controversial tangle with Jody Scheckter. The front of the chassis folded up, but somehow he escaped with badly bruised anklesand a technicolor opinion of the South African.
The 2013 film Rush portrays a composite of Cevert's qualifying fatal accident, combining what appears to be the remains of a blue liveried 1973 Tyrrell 006 with the configuration of Helmuth Koinigg's accident while driving the Surtees TS16 in the 1974 race.
