8 Αυγ 2023 · Effective August 15, 2023, the Fire Commission will be offering free subscription to the IFSTA eLibrary to firefighters in Kentucky. Firefighters will have individual accounts with the most current editions of 36 IFSTA manuals, available for viewing on both desktop and mobile devices.
Establishing a Fire Department. A new fire department may be established pursuant to Kentucky Laws. These requests are processed by the office of the Kentucky Fire Commission. An application packet can be requested by contacting Ashley Tackett.
The State Aid program is available to all qualifying volunteer fire departments in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The Kentucky Fire Commission allots eleven thousand five hundred dollars ($11,500) on an annual basis to each qualifying volunteer fire department in cities of all classes.
