First time flying Frontier. Tips? I booked 2 Frontier flights last night for the month of November. 1 to Phoenix and another to Dallas, both from Chicago Midway. I have never flown it before but my mom has and she sent me a link to the personal item bag she uses.
I started going through the steps to “Change Itinerary” and “Edit Flights” to what it would cost be in fare difference, and it seemed to be showing me the full round-trip fare, not the fare difference. I was comparing too the current fare for a new ticket on another browser.
I used my Southwest Companion Pass status to match to Elite 100k. Now I book the lowest fare and get The Works package, with free luggage, exit row seating, and fully refundable tickets. I also pay for my Frontier flights with my AMEX Platinum card, which gives me trip delay coverage for any flight delayed over 6 hours.
Best advice for any Frontier flight. Book non-stop flights only. If Frontier doesn’t offer non-stop to your destination, choose another airline. Be sure the dimensions of your personal item and carry-on are within Frontier’s size requirements. There’s always a chance of being sized at any airport. Do not check a bag.

You angrily plunked down $100 for gate luggage after extensive arguing and delays causing the entire flight to be in danger of being late. The gate agent finally had enough and pulled your tickets. Customer service sucks. You probably do too. They may never refund you because your own actions caused the consequences. Frontier is not a reputable ...
To have a positive experience with Frontier you MUST follow these rules: 1. Never ever book a Frontier flight that connects with ANY other flight. 2. Never check a bag. 3. Never book with Frontier if on-time arrival is critical.
