24 Μαρ 2023 · open the addon using GCFScape a program that can open vpk files. extract the "root" folder and put it in the following folder. Steam\steamapps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod\addons. this folder can be renamed and will replace l4d content "rochelle" in this case.
21 Νοε 2019 · Converting models from L4D2 to Gmod. I have tried converting a model from L4D2 workshop and I got the model working well, but textures are black purple checkers even though I used Vtf edit to convert them all to something Garrys Mod can read. Can you help me?
Well, all you have to do is export it out of vpk. The only issue from there is with it being a effect, similarly to that of porting directly from sfm. Not that hard.
I want to port some addons from l4d2 into gmod, which is reffered to as hexing (i think). I don't want it to replace the default models, and i want to hex it myself. Any tools that help you extract Source Game Addons into GMA Files?
