23 Απρ 2022 · The 55-gr. Varmint Express load from Hornady proved to be a good performer in the SAINT with a 1:8″ twist rate. I tried the Hornady Varmint Express 55-gr. VMAX and it turned out to be one of the better performers in the group.

18 Σεπ 2019 · I recommend erring toward the faster side of a barrel twist decision. 1:8″ twist is becoming a “new standard” for .224 caliber, replacing 1:9″ in the process. The reason is that new bullets tend to be bigger rather than smaller. Don’t let a too-slow twist limit your capacity to [achieve] better long-range performance.
15 Αυγ 2019 · We write the twist rate in terms of one rotation over X inches of barrel. So, when you see 1/7 twist, as found on mil-spec AR-15 barrels, that means one rotation for every seven inches of barrel. On a 20″ barrel, that means the bullet rotates nearly three full turns before exiting.
