11 Απρ 2022 · In this scientific statement, we describe the epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical presentations, treatment, and outcomes of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children and young adults with a focus on cardiovascular manifestations and complications.
29 Φεβ 2024 · SARS-CoV-2 infection is generally milder in children than in adults, and a substantial proportion of children with the infection are asymptomatic. Most nonhospitalized children with COVID-19 will not require any specific therapy.
The clinical picture and severity of SARS-CoV-2 infection in children of all ages can vary from no symptoms to critical illness. When symptoms develop, most children will experience respiratory tract symptoms or an exacerbation of underlying conditions.
