2 ημέρες πριν · Generate Random Numbers with the RAND function. The first way I will show you is the easiest way to generate random values in Excel. There is a very simple RAND function that requires no parameters and will generate a random number between 0 and 1.
To generate a random number between a and b, you can use a formula like this: RAND () * ( b - a) + a. For example, to generate a random number between 1 and 9: RAND () * (9 - 1) + 1. The RANDBETWEEN function can generate random integers between to numbers: = RANDBETWEEN (1,9) // random number between 1-9.
To generate a random real number between a and b, use: =RAND ()* (b-a)+a. If you want to use RAND to generate a random number but don't want the numbers to change every time the cell is calculated, you can enter =RAND () in the formula bar, and then press F9 to change the formula to a random number.
