Customers can get added to the same-day standby list in person at the airport on the day of travel with a Southwest Customer Service Agent at the ticket counter or departure gate or on the Southwest app or mobile web.

Their standby policy allows you to standby for an earlier flight on the same day as their original flight, as long as there is an available seat. This means that passengers do not have to pay any additional fees or penalties for making a same-day change.
29 Απρ 2024 · 1. Look up your preferred flight online to see if there are seats available. Go to the Southwest online booking page and search for the new flight you want to be on. Then, see if it's sold out or if there are still seats available.
3 Ιουλ 2023 · Standby is not available on every route but where it is, it's free. You must, however, contact JetBlue before your original departure time. More information here. Southwest Standby is free for those holding the more expensive Business Select and refundable tickets.
Same-day standby: You can list for same-day standby on an earlier flight via a Southwest Customer Service Agent at the airport or the Southwest app or mobile web. You will receive a message based on the contact preference selected during booking if you are cleared on the flight.
