Toyota 1ZZ-FE 1.8L Engine Specs, Problems & Reliability. The 1ZZ-FE was a 1.8-liter inline four-cylinder gasoline engine out of Toyota's ZZ engine family. Replacing the old 1.8L 7A-FE engines, it was first introduced in 1998, and in December 2007, its production already was discontinued.

11 Αυγ 2006 · Low down torque is fine - at least i should say its as good as 140BHP non VVTLi/VTEC car, just when 6.2krpm comes round you get a lovely kick, and another 50BHP Cant comment on the corrollas, but i love my celica - and one of its selling points to me was its mega reliability. Only issue is to get the lift bolts check and replaced regularly.

13 Ιουν 2015 · There are a number of claims and myths around the early 1ZZ-FE's and an ocean of comment online about the subject that can make your head spin but the basic truth is the original 1.8 vvti engine while a cracking motor left the factory with a number of inherent weaknesses built into the design.
8 Αυγ 2022 · A common problem with the 9th generation Corolla’s 1.8-liter 1ZZ-FE engine is a CEL (Check Engine Light) caused by a lean air-fuel ratio. When hooked up to an OBD2 scanner, the car’s ECU will usually throw a ‘System too Lean’ P0171 trouble code.
