Recalled, damaged or defective batteries aren’t allowed on the plane. Before your flight, check the specifications of any batteries you plan to travel with. If the energy capacity of your battery is not shown in watt-hours (Wh), multiply the battery’s voltage (V) by its capacity in ampere-hours (Ah).
Depending on where and how you travel, you may have to pay to check your bag. Use our baggage fee calculator to see how much it’ll cost. Calculate bag fees. Starting February 24, 2024, fees for your first and second checked bag will go up by $5 in most markets.
•Baggage where the lithium battery is designed to charge other devices and cannot be removed is forbidden for carriage. Please contact your carrying airline in advance

1 Μαρ 2024 · Effective January 15, you must remove spare lithium batteries or lithium batteries that are part of bags themselves (“smart bags”) before checking or gate-checking baggage. These batteries can be transported in your carry-on baggage.
