The baggage agent said there was nothing she could do about it and gave me a yellow slip of paper with a web address to follow-up. That provided me eventually with a telephone number to call.

She then informed me to file a claim and call the Atlanta based number for baggage claims. I did everything the lady at the mco baggage office informed me to do. I called the (678) 973-2402 number many times with no response and left messages.
