This is a very minor aperture brightness change – one third stop – which is the smallest amount of “variable-aperture” possible. The lens holds F5.6 as a maximum aperture from 200-300mm and then is at F6.3 from 300mm on.

Announced in June 2019 alongside the FE 600mm f4 super-telephoto prime lens, they bring the total of native e-mount mirrorless lenses to 51.
