The cover you take out for your rental car will pay for any repairs, but there’s always an excess you have to pay before the insurance kicks in.

That’s good if it covers you driving a rental car, many, if not all, UK ones don’t.

My credit card insurance for car rental doesn't cover damage to tyres, windscreens, roof or undercarriage. When hire a car in Europe or Australia I usually have the option to add this extra - but I don't see anything with Alamo ...
