History, beauty, political importance... There are lots of reasons that make Casa de la Vall one of the most symbolic monuments in Andorra, if not the most. It’s located in the heart of the old town of Andorra la Vella and can be visited.
Casa de la Vall. The Andorran Parliament, formed in 1419, is one of the oldest in Europe, but it was not until 1702 that the institution was moved to the manor house of the Busquets family to make it its headquarters. Discover it!
It is home to some historic buildings, including Casa de la Vall (which formerly housed the Consell General, the Parliament of Andorra), the church of Sant Esteve, the houses of the Guillemó, Molines and Cintet families, and an old underground dungeon.

The ground floor has pieces of traditional furniture and very unique paving. Here it can be seen how the old entrance area was converted into the seat of justice and the impressive Tribunal de Corts, or criminal courtroom.
Constructed in 1580 as a home for a wealthy family, this graceful stone mansion served as Andorra's parliament building from 1702 until as recently as 2011. The Sala del Consell, upstairs, must have been one of the world's cosiest parliament chambers; it's now used only very occasionally.
