INDICATIONS AND USAGE. Ondansetron Injection is a 5-HT3 receptor antagonist indicated: Prevention of nausea and vomiting associated with initial and repeat courses of emetogenic cancer chemotherapy. ( 1- 1.1) Prevention of postoperative nausea and/or vomiting. ( 1- 1.2) DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION.
By intramuscular and subcutaneous injection: AKIS Solution for Injection is effective in acute forms of pain, including renal colic, exacerbations of osteo- and rheumatoid arthritis, acute back pain, acute gout, acute trauma and fractures, and post-operative pain (see section 4.3 and 4.4).
4 to 20mg betamethasone (1 to 5ml) administered by slow intravenous injection over half to one minute. This dose can be repeated three or four times in 24 hours, or as required, depending upon the condition being treated and the patient's response.
