The DI MA-1 is a family of Myanma-made assault rifles chambered for 5.56×45mm NATO, produced by the Myanmar Directorate of Defence Industries. They are based on the IMI Galil with some localised modifications produced with assistance from Israel.

The ArmaLite AR-5 is a lightweight bolt-action takedown rifle chambered for the .22 Hornet cartridge and adopted as the MA-1 aircrew survival rifle by the United States Air Force. It was developed by ArmaLite, a division of Fairchild Engine and Airplane Corporation in 1954.
17 Αυγ 2021 · The rifle is a long-stroke gas-piston-operated firearm, similar to the AK-47. The M1 Garand's operating handle doubles as a forward assist. The M1 is top-loaded, fed with an eight-round clip of .30-06 Sprg. ammunition. Its magazine can be topped off; however, this is not recommended.
6 Νοε 2023 · The rifle was designed to operate within a certain range of gas cylinder pressures and common advice tells us to use ammunition at or under 50,000 PSI. M2 Ball ammunition was the standard feed for the M1 Garand.
