Airtran Airways | A+ Rewards - AirTran seat assignment? - I am considering taking AirTran between White Plains and Atlanta in mid-December. I will be travelling with two young children (6yo and 4yo), so would like to sit together as a family.
Answer 1 of 5: We booked our first flight with AirTran through Expedia. When the reservation was made there was no seat assignment. I just went into AirTran site to select our seat assignment and for the "available seats" there is an additional charge...

Airtran Airways | A+ Rewards - Seat Assignment question - I am flying AirTran for the first time in a few days (party of 4)--I did not purchase seat assignments. Will I be able to choose seats, or be assigned seats, if I check-in online 24 hours before the flight?
11 Νοε 2011 · I've been able to get seat assignments online for companions on the same rez. The only issue is exit row seating, they charge for the companion (the Elite member is free though). Tried calling up the A+ Elite Special Services phone line again this morning and received the same response from a different CSR.
