You can check in on the app if: You're logged in or know the name and 6-character confirmation code of the passenger; Your first flight is operated by American Airlines; It's 1–24 hours before your flight (travel in the U.S., Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands) or 2–24 hours before your international flight You have a seat assignment
