It typically costs about $100/person on our PV air/hotel package, so it may cover a bit more that you policy with TRAVELOCITY. The devil is in the details of course; happily we've never had to use it.
3 Σεπ 2023 · The trip insurance only kicks in if Delta denies a refund (usually for non-refundable fares, and insurance policy dependent-read carefully). Check your credit card too, as ours covers for lost baggage and trip interruption (also if Delta doesn't cover for some reason).
The plan's hurricane policy refunds the cost of your vacation, including the cost of the Travel Protection Plan, and protects you from most cancellation penalties, if your destination is under a hurricane watch or warning (as declared by the National Hurricane Center (NHC)).
