When booking a flight, you’ll see an option to apply a flight credit on the payment screen and can do so by entering the confirmation number associated with the flight credit. Each Passenger can use a total of three forms of payment per booking, and each flight credit counts as a form of payment.
Southwest LUV Vouchers must be redeemed and all travel completed by the expiration date indicated. When booking a flight, you’ll see an option to apply a Southwest LUV Voucher or gift card on the payment screen.
Up to three forms of payment per Passenger may be applied, which includes one credit card or PayPal account per transaction. Southwest@gift cards, Southwest LUV Vouchers@ and Southwest@Travel Funds can only be used on the flight portion of your trip. Learn more.

Southwest flight credit (officially known as Travel Funds) and LUV Vouchers are the two types of compensation issued by Southwest Airlines. While they can both be used to purchase tickets, there are some key differences between the two.
You can now use flight credits, Southwest LUV Vouchers, and gift cards when changing your flight in the app. Your unused Southwest® flight credit(s) will show in ‘My Account’, within ‘travel funds’ section.
