Selected Works. The return of the Olympic and Paralympic Games to Greece was received with great excitement around the world, however, there was also great anxiety because the existing facilities was far from adequate and the city lacked experience with constructing such large-scale projects.

It is located in Marousi, in the north-east part of Athens, and consists of five different venues: the Olympic Indoor Hall, the Athens Olympic Aquatic Centre, the Athens Olympic Tennis Centre, the Athens Olympic Velodrome and the Olympic Stadium.
Plans of the new Olympic Complex. As most people know, the Athens Olympic Sports Complex ( AOSC) went through a large scale upgrading from 2002 to 2004, in view of the Olympic Games. The planning of this project was undertaken by the famous Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.
