Caesarea is a national park on the Mediterranean coast of Israel, in the northern part of the Sharon region. The park encompasses a vast archaeological site that showcases the remains of the Roman Imperial city of Caesarea Maritima. Map. Directions.
Caesarea, (“Ruins of Caesarea”), ancient port and administrative city of Palestine, on the Mediterranean coast of present-day Israel south of Haifa. It is often referred to as Caesarea Palaestinae, or Caesarea Maritima, to distinguish it from Caesarea Philippi near the headwaters of the Jordan.

Caesarea is located on the Israeli coastal plain, approximately halfway between the major modern cities of Tel Aviv (45 kilometers [28 mi] to the south) and Haifa (45 kilometers [28 mi] to the north), and 1–2 kilometers (0.62–1.24 mi) north of ancient Caesarea Maritima.
