   Hi all - We are considering a trip to Punta Cana this summer with our three kids (22, 20, 15). Is it safe to venture off the resort and explore on your own? Or would we only want to stick with planned excursions. Also, any all inclusives you would recommend for that age range? Thank you!

   Some resorts do have security guards at their gate, which is just meant to show to incoming visitors that their safety is assured, just as if You were entering a secure, and protected resort here in the States.
