Each Customer is allowed two free checked bags 1. Golf bags 2 and skis 3 count toward your free checked bag if they are within the weight limit. Check your bags digitally ahead of time, or, at the airport, check your bags using our self-tagging kiosks (where available) or with a friendly Southwest ® agent.
If any portion of your itinerary contains an international flight, you must check luggage at the ticket counter. If your itinerary for travel into the United States includes a connection, you must claim all luggage, regardless of final destination, upon arrival in the U.S.

If any portion of your itinerary contains an international flight and you plan to check luggage, you will be required to do so at the Southwest Airlines Ticket Counter upon arrival at the airport. You cannot checkin or check luggage at the curbside if traveling on an international itinerary.
