  2. If you cancel your booking within 24 hours of booking, you can choose either to a) receive a method-of-payment refund or b) hold the value of the ticket as a flight credit or Transferable Flight Credit TM (depending on the fare) to buy a future flight.

If you have been exposed to someone with a respiratory virus, have symptoms, or tested positive, please follow current Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance regarding isolation. If you need to rebook or cancel, please access your reservation online and follow the prompts to do so.

  4. If you decide not to travel as a result of a significant flight delay or Southwest-initiated cancellation, you can cancel your reservation and then either a) request a method-of-payment refund or b) hold the value of the ticket as a flight credit that you can use to buy a future flight.

  5. Most flights can be easily canceled on our website or in our app without needing to call. Look for the Manage Reservations option on our website or app and then tap or click the Cancel option.

  6. Stay up to date on all information regarding weather advisories, travel restrictions, entry requirements, and other instances that may impact your travel plans.

  7. If you have been affected by a Southwest-initiated cancellation, you can self-serve and change each flight date/time in your original reservation, both the impacted and non-impacted, by up to 14 days from your original travel date and up to two times at no additional cost.
