23 Ιουν 2024 · The Southwestern United States, also known as the American Southwest or simply the Southwest, is a geographic and cultural region of the United States that includes Arizona and New Mexico, along with adjacent portions of California, Colorado, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas, and Utah.
Stretching westward from Arizona are true deserts with cacti and chains of barren mountains. The Colorado River flows through the region. It carved the spectacular Grand Canyon in Arizona. Other notable natural features of the Southwest include the formations in Bryce and Zion National Parks in Utah.
