Spirit bag fees vary wildly from flight to flight, ranging from $35 each way to as much as $150 or more.
Checked Baggage: Spirit Airlines charges a fee for checked bags. Be aware of the weight and size limits (40 pounds and 80 linear inches) to avoid overweight and oversize fees. Plan ahead and purchase your checked bags online to save money compared to paying at the airport.

3 Φεβ 2023 · How many bags can you carry on Spirit Airlines for free? The Spirit carry-on fee applies to any bag you need to put into the overhead bin. While Spirit Airlines technically limits each passenger to one personal item, it is conceivable that you could bring two very small items onboard.
Checked bags: Maximum of 62 linear inches (length + width + height; 158 cm) including handles and wheels and maximum of 50 pounds (22.6 kg) in weight. Any bag that exceeds these dimensions or weight limit is considered oversized/overweight and has a corresponding charge.
Bags purchased within 24 hours prior to departure will be charged at the online check-in rate, so buy bags early and save major moola. If you don’t check in online, our kiosks at the airport are self-serve and easy to use. Some Guests may not be able to complete check-in online (see below).
