4 Ιουν 2022 · The Spirit baggage weight limit is 40 pounds per checked bag, not 50 pounds like many other airlines. You'll pay a $50 surcharge for that 41st pound, and the fees go up from there. Overweight and oversized baggage fees
5 Ιουν 2024 · The airline has announced that it has increased the checked-bag weight allowance to 50 pounds (up from 40 pounds). Additionally, it has extended future travel voucher expiration dates to 12 months (for vouchers issued on or after June 3, 2024).

If both of your individual luggage do not exceed 80lbs (say one is 50lbs & the other is 30lbs) – you DO NOT pay overweight fees.
