Step 2: Press the accelerator pedal ALL THE WAY to the floor and hold it for 40 seconds.

15 Δεκ 2015 · My Toyota Vitz 2007 idles roughly and I got advice to clean the throttle body and make the vehicle re-learn the idle by starting the engine and let it idle for some time. My question is, is it necessary to instruct the vehicle in some way (disconnecting the battery may be) to start re-learning?
The throttle opener holds the throttles slightly open when the engine is off. This apparently helps the engine to start, although many people remove and discard this item without any problems.
